Jaïs
Invalides / Gros-Caillou — 7e arrondissement, 3 rue Surcouf. · Paris ·
About
Jaïs is a rather chic and very gourmet version of a French bistro. You find the great classics you want to order in this type of establishment — pâté en croûte, sole meunière, sweetbreads, dry-aged ribeye, profiteroles — using high-quality ingredients and a few more contemporary pairings. An address to keep in mind when you want real, generous, and well-executed French cuisine in the 7th.
Recommended by the guide
I would reserve Jaïs primarily for a business lunch or when you are craving a very good French bistro in the 7th. And if you are with a group, the 1 kg dry-aged côte de bœuf to share is definitely worth considering.
