The real French sandwich still exists, and it's here. Butter, quality ham, selected bread, respectful proportions. Their Nice pan bagnat reconciled me with this classic that generations of tourist bars had massacred. Simple, generous, homemade. As it should always be.

Get it to go and eat it outside rather than trying to turn the place into a sit-down restaurant: Beurré is truly designed as a counter-service sandwich shop. And if it's hot out, add their homemade lemonade or iced tea — a very simple, but frankly effective combo.
